The details that matter

Built the way wildlife photographers actually work

Names, places, keywords and bulk actions — the parts you touch every session.

Names you actually use

Specio carries 866,000 common names across 47 languages, and you rank the ones you want first — so your keywords read the way you talk about animals, not like a textbook.

One species, all its names

Species get renamed, split and merged as science moves on; Specio follows those changes, so the name you learned still finds the right shot — and you choose which common name is displayed.

Where you stood is evidence

When a file carries GPS, Specio uses the location to separate look-alikes, and a green, amber or red badge tells you at a glance whether that species really lives there.

Keywords that land where you work

Confirm a species and its full lineage is written straight into Lightroom — or an XMP sidecar, a JPEG, a Photos album — at the level of detail you choose, and corrected for you if you change your mind.

No GPS? Drop a pin

Place one file or a whole selection on the map in a few seconds, and Specio immediately reconsiders which species it was looking at.

Agree once, for hundreds of files

Confirm a whole selection in a single click — and undo it just as fast if you change your mind.

Processed locally. Your photos stay yours.

Everything happens inside your computer — detection, identification, keywords. No account, no upload, no photo sitting on somebody else's server. Specio works the same on a plane as it does at home.

You stay in control

Specio suggests, you confirm.

Works offline

In the field, on a plane, on a NAS with no internet at all.

Non-destructive

Keywords only — never your pixels, edits or originals.
